Determine data needed
My electric bill from September 2007 and my electric bill for October 2007. How much water dishwashers, faucets, and washing machines use.
Determine methodology
I will use my own household to collect data. If I were to use this for students I would have them monitor their own households and ask their parents how they wash clothes, how they do dishes, where their hot water heater is, and if they have leaky faucets. I would ask them to look at their parents’ electric bill. I would use this to show students how expensive it is to live on their own and how energy efficiency can pay off.
