Tools for the Mind

Abstract: Technology needs support, as do its users. I have hope for technology, as Burns does, but I do not think that it is a sole deficiency of the curriculum, assessment, and teaching methods of instructors. I am not saying teachers are perfect, but until society deems technology a valuable and respectable tool (and not some higher, out of reach "thing" that cannot be understood, is feared, and CONSTANTLY misused), then teachers will never be able to fully prepare their students for the growing technological world, nor will they be able to teach their students these tools that can really enhance their learning.
